Q: What kind of Guild is the Ven Zallow Enclave (VZE)? A: A Heavy Roleplay guild. We focus exclusively on roleplay. (Members may of course choose to do PVP and PVE on their own.) Ranks are achieved through roleplay, not through PVE or PVP.
Q: Any relation to Ven Zallow Academy? A: That's us! As the guild grew we changed from an Academy to an Enclave, and updated the guild name to reflect that. You might still see "Ven Zallow Academy" or "VZA" in various places.
Q: What server is the guild located on? A: Starforge!
Q. What is a Traditional Jedi? A. Traditional Jedi are Jedi under the authority of the High Council, or the Council of the Enclave and follow the tenets of the Jedi Order. If your character acts against this, there is a potential for in-character consequences.
Q. Does my RP character need to match the advanced class of my toon? (i.e., if I play a Sentinel, my character must become a Sentinel.) A. Nope! Let the RP take you where it goes.
Q: My toon is low level. Can I still join the guild? A. Yes! We do not have a minimum level or game content completion requirement to join or participate in the guild.
Q. I’m not used to role-playing, will I have to wait before I can participate? A. Not at all. We understand that newer players may not be as comfortable interaction with more experienced players, but you are still welcome!
Q. Do you have a Master/Padawan system? A. Yes! However all pairings are by mutual agreement; the Council does not assign padawans to Knights/Masters.
Q. How long does a person need to be a Padawan before they can be Knighted? A. VZE has no strict time requirement to Knighthood, we only ask that you spend at minimum three real-time months roleplaying as a padawan before being eligible for the trials. Whether or not your character is ready will depend entirely on your character and roleplay.
Q. I’d like to be a shadow! A. Shadows do not exist. (At this time the VZE does not permit shadows.)
Q. My character is a Gray Jedi, can I join? A. VZE is a traditional Jedi Guild - Gray Jedi will not be permitted. (If you intend for your character to become a traditional Jedi through roleplay, that’s okay! We understand many people are interested in the journey.)
Q. My character is a Sith who wants to give up the dark side and be redeemed/trained as a Jedi. A. At this time VZE does not accept redemption path characters.
Q. Do I have to join as an initiate? A. We highly recommend joining the guild as a student; however you can apply to Knight level rank. (We expect a more detailed background, and will review the trials to make sure they fit lore.)
Q. Can I roleplay a species that isn’t currently playable in the game, like Zeltron? A. Within reason. A human toon as an Ithorian character would be too much.
Q. Is it okay if I create my own species and planet? A. We ask that players stick with species and planets that already exist within Lore.
Q. My Character is the daughter of Satele Shan and secret twin to Theran Shan A. VZE does not accept characters who have any contact or existing relationships with canon characters.
Q. Am I guaranteed to become a Knight? A. We favor Lore in this regard - not every character will become a Knight, and in character actions means in character consequences. If your character falls to the Darkside, they will most likely be hunted down and imprisoned or killed.
Q. Can my character be killed? A. Up to you! Character death is by consent only. There may be circumstances where a character decision may risk death, and you will be warned ahead of time if that is the case.
Q. What is the guild policy on alts? A. We ask as a new member you focus on one character for a while before bringing in an additional character. (As a student, you should reach your Trials first.) Each character requires an interview and approval. Alts that aren’t active rp characters are of course welcome, and will be tagged as OOC.
Q. Does VZE allow a player to have characters in other guilds? A. Yes! This also includes the other guilds within the Galaxy Alliance Community, such as Argent Watch and Brotherhood of Raiskus. Each guild has their own application and interview process.
Q. Can I join with a lightsaber already constructed? A. In the VZE, lightsabers are constructed as a padawan with a Master. If you are an initiate or apprentice, you will be issued a training weapon.
Q. When is the guild most active? A. Typically during the week from around 7p-12a Eastern time. Weekends are often a bit lighter.
Q. I have another question not listed here. A. Please feel free to contact us either by enjin mail, the shoutbox, or in game. :)
